"I'm so impressed with your rendition of the Bean. You caught a perfect likeness AND you created a gorgeous work of art in the bargain. It was more than I hoped for (and I hoped for quite a lot). Truly a pet masterpiece which we will treasure forever. Thank you, thank you."

"My husband, Dave, flipped over my portrait. He was in awe and loved it. He said, 'THAT IS YOU!' He was so excited. I am so ecstatic about how you interpreted the B&W photo I supplied you. You captured the innocence and essence of a two-year-old looking in a mirror. Just so happens, the feelings are the same emotions of today . . . decades later. This is a treasure beyond treasure."

Barbara and Eric 23" x 17"
"I have on my wall a beautiful portrait of my late husband and myself done by Roseann Haslett in 2002 shortly after his death. It's from a snapshot my daughter had provided her and I have wonderful memories every time I look at the painting. It was on Father's Day. I'm wearing a green silk blouse and my husband's wearing a green, yellow and white shirt. (He actually was wearing a dark tan shirt, which would not have been as attractive. Roseann used her artistic license with a great result).
She also painted an elegant portrait of the two of us at my daughter's wedding, as well as one of my grandson, then around two years old, beating a big Native American drum. You can feel the energy when you look at that one. Wonderful work, painstaking detail . . .I'm very proud to own a 'Haslett.'"

"My home is brightened by two of Roseann's beautiful pastels. One of Maggie, my tabby cat, captures her personality curiously gazing into a candle. (Photos of paintings not available).
The other is a family portrait of my husband, me and our beloved terrier, Wylee, who is now gone, but continues to live on through Roseann's painting. We receive many compliments from visitors to our home."

Jeri, age 10
When Jeri lost her home to the October 2003 fires, in it were childhood photos. Her brother had some photos of her. But back in the day when people took in entire landscapes when they took a photo of a person, you could barely see the head or the eyes squinting into the sun. From a 30-year-old, indoor, full-body shot of Jeri standing next to her brother, her head about a half inch, my challenge was to fill up a large canvas with just her portrait. The painting was to match the medium--charcoal-- and the size, with a portrait of her husband, drawn at about the same age, so that they could have a matching set.
"The portrait looks great! I'm really pleased with the way it turned out. Thankyou for being so diligent in making it look like me when you had so little to go on!" Jeri, San Diego, CA
